The federal court of appeals in Waashington, DC has upheld key aspects of Judge Chutkan’s gag order against Donald Trump – including “public statements about known or reasonably foreseeable witnesses” related to the case.
The court also rejected Trump’s claim that his candidacy affords him greater protection from restrictions on his speech.
From the decision: “Mr. Trump’s documented pattern of speech and its demonstrated real-time, real-world consequences pose a significant and imminent threat to the functioning of the criminal trial process.”
