“Senior advisers to former President Donald Trump have been working more attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris into the speeches and messaging planned for the Republican National Convention next week, according to two people briefed on the deliberations who were not authorized to discuss them publicly,” the New York Times reports.
“Most of Mr. Trump’s advisers privately hope that Mr. Biden stays in the race but they are eager to define Ms. Harris, seeking to drive down her approval ratings in case the president chooses to drop out.”
