House Democrats Push One of Their Leaders Aside

House Democrats have sidelined Rep. David Scott (D-GA), the ranking member of the Agriculture Committee, in negotiations over the food stamps program, Politico reports.

“Scott’s colleagues have been raising concerns with House leadership since last year about the 78-year-old Georgia Democrat’s health and ability to steer the committee minority through a critical period for agriculture policy.
