Just as the presidential primaries were getting underway, there was a concerted push around the idea that Democrats should dump Joe Biden as their presidential nominee.
The argument — summed up most prominently by Ezra Klein — was that Biden was simply too old and no longer up to the job. Klein even devoted an episode of his podcast describing how Democrats could dislodge Biden as the party’s nominee at the convention.
